Question:
Does "Page Rank" affect Quality Score?
Answer:
Quick answer: it varies on domain.
An experiment:
created two new adwords accounts, using the same keywords in each and had the ads pointing to two different domains.
Both domains were over 8 months old, one domain had two pages of content indexed by Google and had a page rank of 0 the other had three pages of content indexed and a page rank of 2.
Put the same content on both sites. settings.
After 18 hours the following results were obtained:
Page rank 0 domain AdWord Position: 13 Impressions: 4,600
Page rank 2 domain AdWord Position: 9 Impressions: 21,206
Also did the exact same experiment with 2 other domains and did not see a difference.
What this means:
The best guess I have is either the google reviewers sometimes factor in the page rank or one reviewer thought one site was better than the other reviewer(even though they had the same content).
The bottom line is still the same, make a site that the google bot, the reviewer, and the end user think is useful.
