Conversions:

A very important piece of information is conversion %. I rarely see this given on affiliate pages, and most of the time it is given it seems like an inflated number (like it's either made up, or else from an outrageously specialized list)
 
As for conversion of Adwords Profit Secrets, so far it's about 2%.
 
The buyers so far, are those searching for AdWords help, particularly on the adwords slap and quality score issues. Even AdWords advertisers who already have other guides (such as Perry Marhsall's) still want "underground" Adwords secrets to make more money from Adwords.
 
You can get fundamentals (and a handful of standard tips) from other the other guides.
Or you can pay thousands for more hands-on coaching. There's nothing in-between ... Until now!
 
So this gives an opportunity for you to promote a higher-end higher-dollar Adwords course - with corresponding big commissions.
It's like a JV-level partnership. Without having to "schmooze" to get in on it!

You may be wondering "wouldn't it be better to just send them to the sales page?"
 
I've found that for most topics, it's better to start with a free course (and/or ebook) to build a relationship first. And then direct them to the sales page from there. Especially with information products.
 
A number of the sales have been made a number of days after the initial visit. Without email follow-up, those sales wouldn't have happened. And for your purposes, having a free course is very promotable. It's great in ads, forum postings, emails, etc. to direct people to a great free resource. You're helping them out, not "selling" them.
 
I also make sure that the newsletter doesn't interfere with the sales process. If someone is ready to get a bunch of information right away, and then buy right away, I help them to do that!
