Can blogging help your AdWords performance?
okay the quick answer to that is “yes”
I’ve been diving into setting up blogs for a couple other niches. And updating this one.
Their are big benefits to that independent of Adwords:
1) get free traffic, from your content
2) build repeat traffic and referrals (if you’re giving good content)
But in AdWords you also improve your Quality Score, for your keywords.
This is very important now. If you have poor quality, you’re really fighting an uphill battle. If nothing else, you’ll be paying way too much.
When Google first started implementing Quality Score, I played a bit “cowboy” with it. Giving some content – some supporting pages. And that really helped (still does)
But I’m declaring that you need to do even more, to do well with adwords.
Develop “real sites” to point traffic to (if you don’t already have them).
Not a site that’s really a one-page salesletter. (whether your own, or someone else’s)
But the good news is that it’s easy (and dare I say “Fun”) to do it via blogging.
Not only for site creation … but to keep feeding your site with more
Stay tuned for more details …
And as I mentioned, this isn’t just about adwords. I’m calling attention to doing good content sites, since it’s gone from a “nice to have” to a “must have” for adwords.
But you get great benefits from free traffic (people first discovering your site), repeat traffic, and referrals.
And if you’re “Tweeting”, you really need a real blog to send your followers to. Short tweets are great. But you also want to point them to full posts (where you’re not limited), and people can browse further to see all that you have to say
